Licensing, permits, HOAs, deposits, cure times, cracks and warranties — what Port St. Lucie homeowners ask before they hire a concrete contractor.
Are you licensed and insured?
Yes — the crews that pour for us carry general liability and workers' compensation, and permitted work is pulled under a Florida-licensed contractor's number. We give you certificates before any work starts; ask any concrete company for the same.
Do you charge for estimates?
No. We come out, measure, check the base and the swale, and give you a written itemized price good for 30 days.
How soon can you come out?
Estimates within two or three days across Port St. Lucie, a little longer in Stuart and Palm City. Most jobs are scheduled two to four weeks out; small repairs and leveling faster.
Do you pull the permits?
Yes — City of Port St. Lucie building and right-of-way permits, St. Lucie County, City of Fort Pierce, Martin County and the City of Stuart, whichever your lot falls under. It's on the quote as a line item.
Do you handle HOA approval?
Yes. Tradition, St. Lucie West, PGA Village, Torino and the Martin County gated communities all review exterior concrete; we prepare and submit the packet.
What's the deposit?
Nothing until you've approved the written price; then a third at scheduling, the balance when the job is finished. No cash-only, no full payment up front.
How long does a driveway take?
Demolition one day, base and forms one day, pour one morning — usually two to three working days, plus cure time before you park on it: 7 days for a car, 28 for a truck or boat.
When can I walk or drive on new concrete?
Walk in 24 hours, car in 7 days, boat, RV or truck in 28. It keeps gaining strength for a month.
Will the new concrete crack?
Concrete shrinks as it cures and cracks somewhere; control joints are cut so it cracks there. Hairline cracks at joints are normal. Random cracks or ones with a lip mean the base moved — which is what our compaction and reinforcement are there to prevent, and what our warranty covers.
What warranty do you offer?
Two years on workmanship — settlement, random structural cracking, spalling from a bad mix — in writing. Surface hairline cracking at joints and normal wear are excluded, as with every contractor.
Do you do small jobs?
Yes — a walkway, a generator pad, a single panel replacement, a foam lift. Small jobs carry a minimum of about $900 because the setup is the same.
Do you remove the old concrete?
Yes, and haul it away; it's on the quote per square foot. Nothing is left on the lot.
Do you offer financing?
Yes, through a third-party lender with fast approvals — see the financing page.
Do you pour in the rain or the summer heat?
We schedule pours for early morning in summer and watch the radar; a pour is rescheduled rather than rained on. Hot-weather mixes and curing are standard practice for us.
